Help with identification please

Can someone help with this shrub-"Ribes" of one sort or another, perhaps?-grows fairly "ragged" but has small reddish flowers in late summer-and attracts crowds of bees  Thanks in advance

looks like symphoricarpus orbiculatus. Is the foliage soft, or hard?

Thanks Hostafan-Soft-especially on this year's growth, but it hasn't formed "fruits" in the past.
