Lots of good ideas and suggestions. I am going to sort out garage and collect everything which can carry plants in it.    Thank you.

B&Q used to sell their bright orange buckets for 99p. Might be worth looking at as that would be cheaper than big pots.

So NOT a crazy idea :) When I moved (about 15 years ago now), I took everything I could from the garden. The only thing I left was some fencing and a beautiful juniper bush that I physically couldn't dig up. We loaded everything (150+ plants, pots and bushes lol) onto a little flatbed lorry - so much cheaper than a van - and made 2 trips (approx 9 miles round trip). The speedwell took to the new soil wonderfully... probably better than anything else did :) I really only lost one plant - a gorgeous acer I had planted with my Nan when I was 8 years old....  it didn't take to the new conditions. I was lucky my new garden had has the same aspect as the old one - south facing. However, the soil was so completely different. My advice is to get the soil right before planting out anything permanently - that way you'll have the best success :) Good luck - we'll be wanting to see progress photos! :)

Finally moved to new place. All plants arrived safely. Couple of broken branches but all alive.
