Plum tree disease

Help! A month ago our 10yr old plum tree had lots of plums growing, gutted to find a disease today which has killed about 50% of fruit growing. What on Earth is this and how do we treat it asap & can we save remaining plums growing?

    It’s a disease called pocket plum.

    Not fatal, just annoying.
    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
