Hi there, myself and a friend went to Chatsworth flower show. Love all hostas and my attention was caught by one named Catherine. The one at the show had shiny leaves, but looking on the web none of the Catherine's do. they just look flat not shiny. We both took pics of this and leaves were definitely shiny. Can anyone explain please?

Maybe show plants were young fresh leaves.
As it ages maybe the shine goes dull.

Or maybe they polished them with leafshine or something similar to make them look more glamorous on the show stand.

Thank you, a bit drastic....I would have thought it would damage the leaves.

Thx silver surfer....no don't think so as whole plant was shiny,that's what attracted us in the first place.
