Hi, could someone let me know what this plant is? It smells a bit citrusy and is in the herb garden of the house we have just moved into.

Looks a bit like an escallonia to me but difficult to know without seeing flowers. Some of them do have a resinous smell though apparently which I guess could be considered citrusy

Agree with Beefley.....Escallonia sp.
However it has been pruned so there may not be any flowers this summer.
Left alone they do get very large.
