Please help ID this perennial

I have not been able to find anything that looks like this plant. It grows in the shade, has small white flowers in the Spring. The leaves are two separate lobes that look like a pair of lungs, is the best way I can describe them.
They are growing in Zone 4 in sandy soil in northern WI.
They are in the foreground next to the wild ginger in the photo below.
