You should send them to me - I'm in Flanders  ;).  There are a lot of them flowering here, they look wonderful with the ox eye daisies etc

A few years ago, our council approached the volunteer gardeners at Queens Park and asked us to plant up the containers in front of the Town Hall.  "We want sustainable planting," they told us.  So thrilled were we at such an enlightened attitude that two of us laboured, free of charge, in our own time, to plant lavender and small shrubs and hardy perennials, carefully chosen to have flowers all summer and into the autumn.  It looked wonderful and was full of bees etc.  The following spring, the council called in the usual contractors who ripped it all out and replaced it with the usual gaudy annuals.
