Zinnias

My local ASDA have a fresh batch of plants for sale which include Zinnias. They're a very good price in 4 inch pots. So I thought I might buy a few before they start dying again through neglect and not being watered. Trouble is I've read that they don't like root disturbance and don't transplant well from pots to soil. Has anyone any experience of this.

I grew some from seed last year and they were fine after being transplanted into the garden.

I had no problem transplanting from plugs to soil last year.

At the end of the day they're selling them 3 for £5 so I reckon I haven't much to lose in giving them a go. Just have to hope the weather improves up here in't North for the remaining weeks of the Summer.

Excellent, I will buy three tomorrow, and pray for better weather in the coming weeks.
