Hi, I have this lovely weed in my garden, and I’ve also seen in in the local area in a white colour. Can anyone help me to identify it?

Thanks :)

It's one of the campanulas. There are scores of different varieties.
Someone may be able to ID it for you, but it could be tricky as there are so many.  :)

Some kind of campanula, possibly persicifolia but mine have more "open" flowers than that.  If it helps with ID, the white ones are a very bright white (they make other white flowers nearby look a bit dingy by comparison)
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

It’s a Campanula. Possibly Campanula carpatica. They self seed quite a bit. I planted some in one border years ago and now they pop up in every bed. They are lovely aren’t they 😊

Searching around it looks like "latifolia", but it's described as growing to 1.2m, whereas the ones I've seen are around half that height.
The white ones I've seen are definitely stunning and noticeable!

If they're 'new' plants, they won't always reach their maximum height in their first year.
The whites are very useful in shady spots too  :)
