Plant identification

Please can anyone help me to identify these plants. I brought some seeds home from Gran Canaria & have grown these (already flowering & about 12” tall, all in varying punk/purple shades) HOWEVER they are not the same as any of the seed packets & I have no clue what they are! Thanks - Alex 👍

    Could be Malva sylvestris zebrina.
I'm growing them for the first time this year but mine haven't flowered yet.
I got my seeds in wilko 😆.

    It's Tree-Mallow -Malva Arborea
Mix 2tbsp of white, granulated sugar with 1tbsp of water and place on a spoon for a Bee to reach. Sometimes they're too exhausted to reach back to the hives when it's hot and dry.
  • Thank you for your help! 👍😀

Or even High Mallow which is an annual in North Africa and being from the canaries, seems more likely. It's a spreading herb.

In my garden it's a weed.   Grows all over the place in the grass, in the ex donkey paddock and in beds.........

Malva sylvestris. If it likes your ground and climate it’ll self seed pretty freely. It’s a nice weed to have though and fairly easy to lift if in the wrong place.

  • Thanks everyone! 👍😀 💐
