Dahlia tubers and rot/disease, can they be saved?

Hi, last year I grew some dahlia varieties from seed (mignon, piccolo & figaro). They all did very well and I mulched and left them in the ground over the winter as we've had such mild winters the last few years here in Sheffield.

Over the last couple of weeks or so most of the dahlias have had good growth but a few have not produced any. I pulled out one large bunch of tubers yesterday and found two of the tubers rotten and squishy. However, there were lots of healthy-looking, very firm tubers and a good root system on it. No new growth though.

I've removed all the rotten/diseased parts but does anyone know whether the plant is dead or whether it is worth replanting it.
