Tree identification help please

Jennym83Jennym83 Posts: 41
Does anyone know what this is? When we moved in about 20 months ago I thought it was just a dead twig so cut it right back. This year it’s grown and these flowers are so beautiful! I feel so guilty about cutting it back but then again it may have done it good having a good prune. Any help in identifying it would be great.
Please excuse the state of my garden, husband is laying a patio so I’m not doing much until he’s finished.

Haha thank you, that’s Lenny, I didn’t realised he had photobombed until I looked back :D
I just googled Escallonia and it definitely looks like that, thank you  :)
