I am lookng for  a hedge for a small front garden. I saw this one in the back streets near me and its about 1 metre high and colourful which is exactly what I want. Its been flowering since May and hopefully will last the summer. 

After google it I think it is

Hypericum × hidcoteense 'Hidcote'

St. John's wort

What do you reckon ?

You are most welcome. The good thing is that it will not grow too big and should suit your garden perfectly.

I don't know where you are, but my St John's Wort hasn't flowered yet. The forsythia was flowering since March though:

But it's not really small.

  I am in Peckham South London Its freezing and wet but I pass that shrub almost every day and its been flowering for almost a month
