Does anybody know what this is? It's been in the garden for years but only started flowering in recent years. It's on the thickish trunk in the border (sorry, picture not the most clear!).
I think it could be Philadelphus virginal - a very vigorous member of the family. It can be pruned after flowering to keep it in check and some older stems can be taken back to ground level. A lovely shrub and good for pollinators.
