Why my hydrangeas leaves are light green? The first, third and fifth all have blue flower. The second have pink flower and leaves are dark green. They’re Hydrangea macrophylla. Please help
Hydrangeas will only be blue if they grow in acidic soil Ph5.5 or below. They will be pink if grown in alkaline soil ph6.5 or above. This means that you won't get the display you are looking for if they all grow together. The difference in leaf colour will balance itself out as they adapt to the soil conditions and will end up looking the same.
I would also add that they do grow into large bushes and yours look too close together at the moment.
I think it would be fine to do that now. They should be able to get their roots down before Winter but I am not sure of the weather in Switzerland. Good luck.
