does anyone know what this plant is? My sister has just moved house this is in her new garden. She was going to cut it as she thought it was dead until the new shoots popped up with these pretty flowers!

I can't see the leaves properly but suspect it is an Escallonia shrub. There are many like Apple Blossom and Donard Seedling.

The leaves at the bottom look like Escalonia, I would cut it down to those and start again.
