Aliums

I've got aliums in pots. Can I leave them in the pots after flowering and do I chop the seed heads when they have finished flowering ?

Alliums are better in the ground really , a lot of people leave the seed heads because they still look nice, cutting the seed heads off will put more energy back in the bulb though.
  • No where to put them into the ground I'm afraid.  I will leave the seed heads on until the autumn  and then give them the snip  !  Thank you  !
