Heuchera Id?

BijdezeeBijdezee Posts: 1,484
Hi all, I just bought this Heuchera on the market in Bruges today as it has a nice leaf pattern but when I got home I realised there was no label so I don't know which variety it might be, or what colour the flowers will be.

Does anyone recognise it or have it in their garden?  Thanks  :)

Thanks @philippa smith2. Will be interesting to see, I won't plant it out until I know. I have a habit of making bad colour combos and then having to move plants around.

@Bijdezee  I have numerous Heucheras on my allotment and no doubt that will be one of them. Have just come back from there so would have to wait till tomorrow. If I do have the same it will probably be the one that hasn't got a label! In the meantime I feel sure someone will come up with a name for you.  :)

I wondered if that might be the case Philippa.  :)

    Thanks @Fran IOM

@Bijdezee,..there are so many species of Heuchers and Heucherella that a positive identification can be difficult,..however i think its Heuchera 'Timbuktu'.

Look at the link below,..is this yours  as you scroll down?

@Bijdezee. I agree with Philippa. You hardly notice the flowers and it's the leaves that show the colour and there are some lovely coloured ones.  :)
  • You say the flowers are insignificant...my Paris plants have gone mad with flowers...the bees can't get enough of them. A proper explosion of pink.

@nultyphilip224. The leaves on Timbuktoo do look very similar but maybe a little finer cut... not sure. Will have to see if the flowers are the same colour.

@Bijdezee. Have been to the allotment and remembered to find out the name of the Heuchera. There are two very similar to yours named "Marble" and "Green Spice". The flowers on both are (dare I say it) fairly insignificant. They wouldn't interfere with any colour schemes you may have.  :)

@philippa smith2.  "Marmalade" is my favourite. Love the colour.  :)
