Hello, Any ideas what these two are please?

    Hi Aaron.  The little blue-mauve flower looks like a self-seeded Nigella, 'Love in a Mist'.  Pretty annual, but they do seed themselves around quite happily.  Nice one!

    Thank you, the thing that throws me is im sure it had a purple flower a couple years back.

    It's an annual, it wasn't there a couple of years ago.

    The first plant, is it low growing and sprawling on the ground? Could be a Vinca Major.

    Hello Borderline, 
    I've got Vinca Major in the back garden but it doesn't look like this one.
    Its only about 3 ft high but growing pretty rapidly. 
    Its had a cluster of smallish purple flowers about 2 years ago, nothing last year and not sure what to expect this year.
