Pheasants

I really enjoy having Lord and Lady pheasant visit me, his lordship all full of himself and her ladyship actually being totally in charge.  I do wish though that they wouldn't a) scrabble around and throw soil all over the path, b) Have dust baths in/on the plants and c) not suddenly croak loudly so I nearly jump out of my skin. Do your visiting pheasants do this?

I only have a solitary male visiting but he frequently makes me jump when he shrieks. I've also noticed that he makes the baby bluetits in my camera nest box jump when he does this! He also scrabble bare patches in the grass under the bird feeders which is annoying.

He’s certainly strutting his stuff, he’s determined to have her!
They do make a mess, we have a big house close by who breed them for shoots so get quite a few escapees.
