Plant Ideas

Hi All,

I'm looking for suggestions for a hardy perennial to fill a gap around 70cm wide/deep in my garden.

It's in an East facing border so gets good sun throughout the morning, with well draining loam soil. It'll be between mostly red/pink plants including a Salvia 'Hot Lips', Salvia 'Pink Lips' and a pink Dicentra.

I want something fairly tall (80-100cm) that'll complement the above colours but ideally not more red/pink.

TIA
   Adrian

  • *Bump* any ideas from anyone else?

I should probably add that it needs to be slug/snail resistant as we have lots.

    Thanks

How about Penstemon 'White Bedder' - tallish, foolproof and slugproof? or one of the dark purple ones like 'Raven' or 'Blackbird' which are taller. Would set off the reds/pinks nicely.
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
