Spotted in a bed in a garden in East Lothian Scotland. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Hello Simonchodgins and welcome to the forum. It looks like Petrocoptis to me.

Thanks for replying. The pics I've seen of Petrocoptis show a broader leaf. Also these flowers appear to only have 4 petals. I dont know enough and this is the only pic I have so I do appreciate your help.

I must admit that at first glance I though it might be one of the Aubrietas but I think that their leaves may be different too.

Looks like Matthiola longipetala sub bicornis....night scented stock...colours vary.

2nd thoughts petals too thin. ignore suggestion.

Resembles some form of Matthiola incana .
