What is this please?

Spotted in a bed in a garden in East Lothian Scotland. Can anyone tell me what it is?

  • Thanks for replying. The pics I've seen of Petrocoptis show a broader leaf. Also these flowers appear to only have 4 petals. I dont know enough and this is the only pic I have so I do appreciate your help.

    I must admit that at first glance I though it might be one of the Aubrietas but I think that their leaves may be different too.

    Looks like  Matthiola longipetala sub bicornis....night scented stock...colours vary.

    2nd thoughts petals too thin. ignore suggestion.

    Resembles some form of  Matthiola incana .
