Can anyone ID these for me?

    The first is Sysirinchium striatum.
    The second looks like a peony. Not sure what type ... possibly a tree peony.

    Agree with Dove and would put a definite on tree peony.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
