Roses

i have a 4ft high fence. Is this too low to plant a Gertrude Jekyll climber and if so will it flower at ground level?

I have a two-year old in a pot, the canes are fairly upright and very thorny, with care I think you could gently persuade it along wires fixed to your fence. I think you could manage to contain the height that way and you will get more blooms lower down, too.

Maybe others have more direct experience of doing this...?
