i have a gunnera in a pot that is doing well. What can you recommend to mulch it to keep the moisture level there? I had mulched with some grass cuttings a while ago but noticed a couple of newly formed leaves had started to rot through ☹️
Thanks silver surfer, I know it’s not the most ideal conditions but my brother in law kept one in a pot and it kept really well for around 10 years. I will try the composted bark, Thankyou

However it will very soon be too big for your pot.
They grow HUGE.
Love it on moist ground next to ponds.

You could use composted bark to retain the moisture.
