    It's creeping thyme Jekka. I had a pot of it for a few years and last August I split it and dotted the plants around - it's knitted together quickly - so it's living up to it's name :)
    It keeps to about 2-3" and as stems touch the soil they root

    Thanks @Pete.8. Does it need full sun?  My pond is in a fairly shady area and wonder how Jekka would get on there.

    Thyme needs a lot of sun and good drainage.
    The Greek oregano (about 4-6") I grow on the other side gets much less sun and still does well, needs good drainage too, so I mixed in a 25kg bag of grit.
    In a few weeks it'll be covered in pink flowers too - and good with pizza!
