Is this a geum?

I found this growing amongst the brambles in my new garden - it looks like a geum leaf, but it has started flowing much later than my totally tangerine geums and has a single circle of petals, rather than the double ones of TT.

Ah! So a foe, rather than a friend then? Didn't particularly like the strident yellow anyway...thanks!
