Plants received in 9cm pots - Can I pot straight into the ground

Hi, I just received 12 plants ordered from Crocus website, and they are in 9cm pots.  Is it best to pot these into larger pots before putting into the ground or can I just go for it.  They are Achillea and Perovskia

If mine I would transplant into larger pots for a few weeks ; I'd rather plant something with a larger rootball than 9cms , but again it's a personal thing .

I always plant straight into the border if bought in the Spring, but if bought Autumn time I pot up and over winter in a cold frame or a sheltered spot. It does depend on the amount of root system they have though.

Thanks @Paul B3and @K67, I think I will pop them in bigger pots for a couple of weeks. They are just so small at the moment I am worried they will get eaten before they have had a chance to establish.
