Hi anyone know what this plant is? It doesn’t look very healthy as has lots of brown leaves  at the moment, is there anything I can do to fix this?

Oh dear it might have been a Camellia?
If you want it to stay in a pot then a bigger one with some nice fresh compost would help.
It would be better off in the ground though. It looks very root bound, I think that is lots of roots showing on the pot compost surface?
 
It does look very poorly, good luck.
Edited to add, try using an ericaceous compost if you pot it, or some Sequestrene might help it, especially if you plant it out.
