Plant recommendation please?

Hello.
I am after a plant that will live on the floor (therefore a tall plant roughly around 3 feet tall or more) but its important that it needs to be shade resistant.
I have tried yukkas but they died as it's not a very bright room.
Any suggestions please?
Many thanks.

Hi Kate, I wonder what kind of space you have on the diameter or horizontal spreading space?
That would help the indoors plant experts to suggest something suitable.
Also another option  if you want height might be a stand or pedestal with a hanging or climbing plant.
  • Thank you so much for your reply!

I don't actually have that much space width wise. My yucca fitted in the space okay though so something similar size to that would fit fine. Something that doesn't spread feet in all directions! (Say maybe roughly 2 feet wide).
I did see a money tree online that looked nice but no idea if it's more or less likely to die than my yuccas which died!
  • Ps. A pachira aquatica money tree is what I mean!

Ficus benjamina is a possibility for those conditions as long as the room doesn’t get too warm and dry when the heating is on.

Or perhaps Ficus elastica robusta ... the rubber plant ... another upright one for filtered light conditions.

Another one to consider is Monstera deliciosa ... trained up a moss pole you can control its tendency to sprawl.

If you google you’ll find lots of information about their care online.
