Please can I get some help identifying this plant. Initially I was hoping it was a self seeded foxglove but it’s now massive. It’s over a metre wide (the flowers in the foreground are standard size narcissi, for comparison)

Is that what they used to put in Dandelion and Burdock?

I think so DGM but haven't researched it. Probably the root if so

Thank you Nutcutlet. I’ve googled and I think you’re right. Nice to know.

Shame it wasn’t a foxglove, but I guess I will leave it where it is for now to see if it throws burrs. I can’t get much else to grow in that part of the garden and I have plenty of weeding and work elsewhere in the beds this year.

It can be a magnificent looking plant if you have the right place for it 😊
