These two plants have suddenly grown in my garden, could anyone help identify them please?

My guess is that they are weeds but wanted to check before I dig them out. The first is really tall, about 2.5ft.

    The top one is a member of the cabbage family. Maybe seed from the bird feeder?

    The second one looks like fox and cubs. Seeds itself everywhere. Could have come from anywhere.
    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
