weigela 50 years+ and prospering

  • this weigela has been here for 35 years when we moved and it was gnarled with a thick trunk back then so I am sure it was at least 20 years old when we moved and maybe even it is 70 years+. It doesn't always come so well but it is superb this year. I'm amazed it has lived so long and still going for it!

    This one was here 52 years ago and was already fairly old.
