Flower ideas please! 🌷

Hello,

Sorry if this makes a few of you cry.

But am in need of some advice. My gardening knowledge is very poor!

I am wanting to tidy up this small flower bed and am wanting to plant some flowers.

The area gets midday/afternoon sun. I am not great at watering the garden. I also work shifts and sometimes get home gone midnight so am not always available for an afternoon water.

I am wanting as much flower and colour as possible and am looking for suggestions of easy care flowers that will provide as much colour for as long as possible!

Happy with just planting one or two types of flowers.

An ideas welcome!

Thank you very much!  🌼🌷🌸

First to kill the dandelions and bindweed! I'd recommend spraying the lot with glyphosate (carefully following the instructions) and respraying any regrowth in 3-4 weeks.

As for planting, Geranium 'Rozanne' or 'Anne Thompson' will give you a long flowering display from late May onwards and come back year on year; plant spring flowering bulbs in the same space for spring colour. The Geraniums will take over as the bulbs die down.

The only maintenance the Geraniums would need is snipping them back if they get out of bounds or start looking tatty.
