Vegetable Plants Direct

Hi just wanted to ask if anyone has used this company before? I ordered two aubergine plug plants even though the reviews on trustpilot were mixed. Should I cancel my order?

I have not heard of them since then.

Oh dear  :/ Well its been three years. Think I will take my chances and if they dont get it sent out I should be able to get a refund from paypal.

To be honest, I'm surprised they're still trading ....... :o

@Ynnead   :) Perhaps he’s got himself sorted out and is providing a good service ... if so it’d be really good to report that on here 👍

Ok I will post a report on the service from them when the plants arrive or if they dont.

Well seems like the service is still bad and I might have to get a refund from paypal. I ordered the plants in the beginning of May and now coming towards the end of the month nothing. No response to emails and I understand its only a small company but this is not very good. Do you think I should wait another month? The order was for two aubergine plants though I have bought seeds for next year anyway.

May be worth having a read of this
Whilst I think it is pretty poor service I think they are at least being honest

P.s. tom plants direct and veg plants direct are the same company, I followed the link from veg plants direct

hi so just a report on the service. I received my plants today and very healthy little guys in 9 cm pots. I did get a delayed email response but with it being only a small company its understandable. I think more people should give them a try but only if people do not expect plants straight away like with maybe what you get with t&m

I used them two years ago and it was one of my worst online shopping experiences. I just don't get it how they can go like this. Have they at least improved communication?
Being a small business is not an excuse. Long delivery times are fine if they are clearly communicated in advance and if all promises are kept. Which was not the case with Vegetable Plants Direct when I ordered from them.
I wish you luck with your aubergines. Hopefully, they are big enough to produce fruit this season.

I have to say Suttons are not much better I ordered cabbage plants from them delivery end of May beginning of June not yet arrived, had I not been keeping an eye out I would of missed that the order had been delayed now until July.
I have received no communication from them at all saying they have been delayed so a very poor deal all-round.
Not so much summer cabbages as late summer / autumn by the time they get in the ground and grow luckily not a problem down here on the coast
