Golden rod

BrexiteerBrexiteer Posts: 955
Has anybody ever had any golden rod plug plants through the post ? I had some delivered about 4 week ago along with some other plugs with pollinators in mind but they arrived with yellow leaves and have never really taken unlike all the others. There is a bit of green but mainly yellow and sorry looking. When I complained about it I was told "golden rod  doesn't travel well and give it time. Am I being told the truth.

Did you pot them up and keep indoors or in a GH?  I think you were told the truth.
when I first started this garden, all the beds were dug from scratch so they were bare, I bought a big pack of perennials from J. Parker sale, potted them on and planted them out, Ive never bought a perennial since, they took off and were fine, the secret is to keep them warm and nurture them for a few months.
You may find the golden rod will forever set seed and you’ll be pulling it out! 😀
