Can anybody identify this wild flower that has appeared this year.

bit hard to see, but looks like it could be a euphorbia? are those green leaves near top on the plant or behind it?

Hi jellyfire, thank you for replying so promptly! The green leaves are on top of the plant. There are several plants all over, will take a photo of one against a wall

Looks like Euphorbia lathyris....common name caper spurge
Be careful the white latex sap is toxic.

one somewhere close by at some time. Might be next door, Euphorbias have explosive seed shedding
