Hi all,

Following are some pictures of some plants/weeds in my garden which I would like you to identify for me. Thanks in advance.

    1.  Ranunculis acris - Meadow buttercup

    2.  ? Still thinking

    3.  One of the wild violets - Viola canine or Viola riviniana maybe

I thought the first one might be a hardy geranium

And I thought the last one might be celandine.  Has lovely yellow flowers, but too invasive and persistent to be welcome in most gardens.

Celandine leaves are thicker and glossier. Violet leaves are matt and almost papery.

Thanks for your help. I haven't seen any flowers from the plants in all the above pictures though. Any idea what pic-2 is? The plant looks very healthy, so do not want to uproot it unless it is a non-flowering weed.

    Hmmmm ... pic 2 looks a bit ragwort-y, but it's not right ... where's @nutcutlet ?

    She'll know :)

Thank you all. I think I'll get rid of the ragwort and keep the other 2 until they flower.

Violets have flowered here, nothing to see now

Okay, thanks. I'll get rid of that too and move the geranium elsewhere so that I can keep an eye on it.
