Pigeans eating blossom

I hear people having problems with pigeons eating plum tree blossom. This was my problem until I bought a real of 'scare tape'.   Even in a slight breeze it makes a noise and reflects, scaring pigeons and now on my plum tree, no problem.  Tip: don't  by cheep tape as it easily tears.

I use pieces of kitchen foil gathered together anc tied in the middle like huge bow ties. Dangling from branches in the amelanchier they frighten the wood pigeons rigid 😆

Strips of about 3 or 4 feet flutter even in a slight breeze making a fair old noise and glinting away. Been up for 2 weeks now and I haven't seen a pigeon near the trees

Bullfinches just thumb their noses at all that sort of stuff. I have six bullfinches in my garden and one particular plum tree has been stripped bare. Same every year, they always go for that one.  If anybody knows what an Imperial Épineuse plum tastes like, I’d love to know.
