Which rose?

LastboatLastboat Posts: 61
Two sections of our boundary fence were blown down in a storm last year and I’ve just replaced them with two 6x6 ft trellises. I didn’t want a standard fence as we like the occasional chat with our lovely neighbours, and they like passing sweets over to our kids, but I did feel they might like some privacy. Plus their side of the boundary faces the sun so we retain a lot of light!

Anyway, I’m looking to plant a rambling/climbing rose on our side and I need help choosing one! I really love the roses in the photos below. Can anyone identify what they might be? I love the rambling rector style - the clusters of small white/pinky flowers - but obviously need something a little less rampant! Any ideas??

The  second one might be rambling rector. It only flowers once and it's a thug. You would need a huge garden.

Yes, I couldn’t contain a rambling rector! After much research, I quite like the look of Lady of the Lake or Phyllis Bide... Does anyone have any opinions on these two that might help me to choose? This is the trellis to be covered? Which would be faster growing? Alternative suggestions also greatly received...!
