Space for an Actinidia

DianaaldamDianaaldam Posts: 5
I couldn't resist buying an Actinidia.
The best remaining space I've got in the garden  will mean planting it within 1 metre of a fairly new climbing rose (Claire Austen).
It's the root spacing I'm  bothered about. Once it hopefully gets going there's  enough wall space for both.
Do you think it is workable?
Many thanks, Diana.

They are beautiful plants, but one little word of warning, protect new growth from cats, I've lost two to the felines as they chewed their way through soft young growth. I don't know what the attraction was.

Thanks for the pictures and advice.
I should be ok on the cat front as I have a very lively English Bull Terrier called Oscar!!
