April's magazine came with free Poppy Pandora and Cosmos Polidor seeds. I planted them. They've both come up looking exactly like Aquilegia ! Anyone else had this problem?
Interesting to see these comments. I thought it was my error when my first tray of the free cosmos seeds proved to be phacelia. I sowed a second tray, very carefully with new compost and making sure the cosmos packet was in my hand. I have 50% phacelia and the other seedlings look a bit like tagetes. Oh well, I like them all but it is frustrating!
Maybe they're free because the producers have discovered their mistake and can't sell them. Disappointed customers can't ask for a refund when they haven't paid anything.
@Guernsey Donkey2, re: the foxgloves, they are tough plants and would be fine in an open coldframe or by a sheltered wall. I plant mine out in the autumn and they have survived and are flowering away.
