Two plants for identification please

Hi all, just wondering if anyone is able to ID these two plants please, I did the usual of buying, planting and then loosing the pots with what it is and I’ve forgotten.
I think the reddish one is a type of hebe? Could be wrong... probably wrong,

I think the lower pic is a variegated Hebe.  Sorry, can't help with the first one.

I agree with the Hebe in the second photo. Any chance the first one could be a Penstemon?
