Best plants/bushes for shade

Best plants/bushes for an area that is in shade the whole day? The fence casts a shadow over this area and it never gets direct sunlight but I would really like to have some plants and bushes here but don’t want to waste my money if they will just die! Thanks in advance!

Foxgloves, brunnera, dicentra, hosta, anemones, aquilegia, some varieties of hardy geranium, ferns, astrantia, daffodils, snowdrops, cyclamen, hellebores.

Portuguese Laurel, camellia, pieris, viburnum, hydrangea, Rhodendron, cotoneaster.

Be almost easier to list ones that aren't suitable!
