Azalea leaf gall anyone?

My Japanese azalea 'AMOENA' suffered from leaf gall a few years ago. Just noticed a severe attack again today. See attached pics which speak for themselves. More info at https://www.rhs.org.uk/Advice/Profile?PID=740.

    Ive had that on one years ago, I was advised by someone on here to just pick it all off, I did and the plant was fine next year. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
