Identify this tree please

I have been given 3 of these trees. Any ideas what they are?  Didn’t lose its leaves, the horse liked to eat it over the fence, but moved it as no sure if poisonous, thought it might be bay laurel but doesn’t taste nice! Thanks

Thank you, that was mentioned by the person who gave them to us, but they weren't sure as they gave them to us over a year ago!
