Non-flowering Wisteria
One of our clients has a very large Wisteria positioned at the SW side of their conservatory ;
the soil is fairly good , aspect is open , breezy and sunny .
All foliage appears green and healthy , but yet again this year , no buds at all .
The shrub has been pruned correctly over the years and fed on a regular basis , but it simply does not flower ...EVER !
I would estimate its age at around 20/25 years !
Has anyone on here experienced anything similar , or maybe think of a reason for this ?
It would be nice to explain to the owners of a possible cause .
Any feedback much appreciated .

Maybe this wisteria was grown from seed by the former owner? You’ll probably never know. 🙄
The recommended course is to buy a plant grown from a rooted cutting from a variety known to flower well ... and preferably to buy your wisteria when it is actually blooming do that you know you have one that is ready to flower.
