Best floribunda rose
Dear Gardeners
What would be your top pick for a floribunda rose in terms of SCENT, flower production, repeat flowering and health?
In another forum, Meilland did a great rose called 'Bolero' (Meidelweis)...at least that is what they call it in the USA. I do not know if this was the same name here in Europe. It seems wholly unavailable here though. Another suggestion was Harkness' 'Well Being' but I find that it is not as generous with the blooms.

'Minerva' [Vissers Belgium 2011].. needs good cultivation …
'Magenta' [Kordes 1954]… lavender.. also needs good cultivation with manure... old fashioned blooms...
'Absolutely Fabulous'...[Carruth U.S.].. licorice scent.. beautiful, with large glossy foliage.. [a.k.a. 'Julia Child']
'Forever Royal'...[Cowlishall UK..2001].. a favourite floribunda, always in bloom, and sweet musky scent, on a free flowering bush..
'Wild Rover' [Dickson UK 2007].. a climbing floribunda to 10 foot.. clove scented.. floriferous.. some black spot in August... but otherwise just a great climbing rose...
'Magenta'
'Forever Royal'
Persian sun is a bit disappointing in terms of flower production the colour is a tel citrus orange though which I like. It may not last the long term in my garden.
I've just planted Margaret merril, blue for you so I'm excited about those. Minerva is also on the way!
So Minerva wins the first semi-final because of the flower profusion. Margaret Merrill goes through to the semi's as well but the winner??
Margaret Merrill!
