Hi everyone.

I have just received two slightly sad looking bananas in the post.
They are quite small and had a bit of a rough ride so I was wondering if I can plant them straight in the ground or if I should leave them in pots to get a bit bigger first?

thanks!!

Grow them on inside for a month or so. They need to be frost free. When the roots fill those pots, plant them out. Water well and give a feed once a week.

They seem to be in small pots placed within larger pots. If so, they shouldn't be.

Punkdoc they are in those little fibre bag type things, the roots are already coming out the bottom so I’m guessing these will need to stay in soil too

IMO, those fibre bags are awful, I would remove them, but see what others think.
