2 weeds to ID please

The first one has a flower like Ragged Robin, and although I do have some Ragged Robin, I'm pretty sure it hasn't mutated into this.  The tall red stalks grow out of a rosette on the ground (ignore the foxglove to the right of the picture):

The next one is difficult to pull out by hand when it gets bigger as it always leaves roots behind.  This example was tiny above ground, but the thin root system goes on for ages:

    1st one’s Ragged Robin, same as mine.
    would like to see the other one in the ground growing.

    I think the second one is a buttercup.

    @Lyn @Rubytoo Here is a picture of a larger version (my glove is beside it for scale):
    Given that I have a very claggy, clay soil I guess it probably is creeping buttercup?

    Oh my what as lovely specimen!
    I think it is the right identification, that is what the one we had looked like too. And online pictures look the same. Guessing it will be joined to the smaller one....
    (Clay here as well).
